ADA Compliance

What responsibility does your organization hold when it comes to providing interpreters?  We can provide resource materials, direction, and free advice when it comes to staying in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

CART Transcription

Communication Access Real-Time Translation (CART) is similar to stenography.  By using technology to convert speech to text in real-time, Deaf participants are able to follow along in a meeting or lecture via computer screen or projection.  We have a network of CART transcriptionists.

CDIs

Certified Deaf Interpreters (CDIs) are a crucial link in communication when dealing with certain segments of the Deaf population.  In some cases it takes working with a Deaf-Hearing team in order to achieve effective communication.  We have a growing network of CDIs to handle sensitive legal issues, assist with communication with foreign-born and non-ASL users, and to relay interpret for Deaf-blind consumers.

Closed Captioning

Closed captions are the text that scroll along the bottom of a video screen that coincide with the dialogue that is being spoken.  We have a full video production suite and can add captions to videos for your website or for broadcast.

Communication Facilitation

Sometimes clients use methods other than American Sign Language to communicate, or have other specialized needs.  We have a vast array of resources, and will work with you to find solutions to any barriers that exist between Deaf and Hearing people.

Consulting

Let our linguistic experts consult with your company to find solutions to your communication needs.  We think outside the box.

Job Coaching

Job coaches assist new-hires during the orientation and probationary period.  They offer advice and guidance to Deaf employees and to Hearing employers and staff.  We have a network of job coaches that are fluent in sign language.  Contact us today for more information!

NIC Certification Preparation

Certification is the hallmark of a professional interpreter.  Let us partner you up with a seasoned, certified interpreter who can develop a study plan for you to achieve certification.

Oral Interpreting

Deaf people who request oral interpreters are looking for interpreters who have been trained to re-produce the message by silently mouthing what is being said.  We do have oral interpreters on staff who are available for these sorts of special assignments.

Practicum/Mentoring

We are a supporter of local interpreter training programs and have approved mentors ready able and willing to work with interpreters striving to enter the field.  Mentors provide valuable feedback and diagnostic information.

Sign Language Classes

Whether you are looking for private instruction, or classes for the workplace, we can customize a class that works with your budget.  Classes can range in subject from survival signs to fingerspelling to conversational ASL.
